What is lifestyle medicine?

Lifestyle medicine is about your health, your strength and your choices. It is a young, growing branch of medicine that aims to help you feel more energetic, healthier and more resilient — not just today, but in the long term.

We know that many chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases or certain cancers, are strongly linked to our lifestyle. The good news is: we can do something about it. Together.

During a lifestyle consultation, we don't just look at numbers or test results, but above all at you as a whole person — how you eat, sleep, move, relax, and how connected you feel with others. Together we look for achievable and sustainable ways to improve your health step by step.

We work on different themes:

  • Nutrition that gives you energy
  • Sleep that truly restores
  • Stress that you learn to manage
  • Movement that suits you
  • Social and sexual connection
  • Conscious handling of alcohol, tobacco or other substances
  • Reducing harmful influences from your environment

A collaboration between doctor and patient

In lifestyle medicine, you are not a passive patient, but an active partner in your care. We listen, guide and motivate — but you hold the key. Together we look for what works for your body, your life and your goals.

Whether you want to work on your health preventively, are recovering from an illness, or notice that your energy or motivation is somewhat lacking: we build further from where you are now.

The goal

Our goal is simple but powerful:

More healthy years, more quality of life, and less disease.

We want to reduce the number of lost healthy years ("DALYs" – Disability Adjusted Life Years), so that you can spend more time in good health, with the people and things that are important to you.
